In the December Thoughts to Inspire I wanted to center it around the attributes that we all seem to find more thought-provoking this time of the year. Approaching everything with a grateful heart, understanding, and kindness.
The things you take for granted someone else is praying for.
Isn’t that the truth. We can always look at our lives and want more, but do you ever look at your life and think…I remember when I prayed for the things I have now? Maybe someone in your life, or some security, or the money to afford something, or to have God help you through a hard time? If you haven’t given it a thought recently. Do it now.
Music is a world within itself with a language we all Understand.—Stevie Wonder
Music is a language all to itself. You can listen to the flow of the notes, and be put into a whole different place. Maybe you are sad, and you listen to some slow melodic tune, or if you are upbeat, you might choose a faster more harmonic piece. Whether or not you pay attention to the lyrics themselves, the tune speaks for itself.
The highest form of wisdom is kindness.
Being kind should come second nature to us human beings, unfortunately there is so much negativity in this world, that sometimes we have to be reminded to simply be kind. So here is your reminder.
The greatest gift you can give someone is your time. Because when you give your time, you are giving a portion of your life that you will never get back.
If you dip your hand in the water of the flowing river, you will never touch that particular water again, and time is the same way. Choose what you do with your time wisely, and be appreciative when someone else gives you theirs.
Life does not have to be perfect to be wonderful.
Life will never be perfect. But you can find perfect moments in your life. When you close your day, try to think of at least one positive thing that happened to you. This will train your brain to pick out those moments easier. And before you know it you will see that life is wonderful, even if it isn’t perfect.
I hope you all find your holiday spirit, and enjoy the time with your loved ones this season.
